A Sneak Peek at Two Experimental Features by the New Search Console

Google declared a “sneak look at two experimental elements” going to the new beta Google Search Console.

In the following few weeks, we are releasing two energizing BETA elements from the new Search Console to a little set of clients — Index Coverage report and AMP settling stream.

The new Index Coverage report demonstrates the count of indexed pages, information about why a few pages could not be indexed, along with example pages and tips on how to fix indexing issues. It also empowers a basic sitemap submission flow, and the ability to filter all Index Coverage information to any of the submitted sitemaps.

The new AMP fixing flow:

New AMP fixing experience always begins with AMP Issues report and it demonstrates the ongoing AMP issues influencing your website, grouped by the underlying error. Bore down into an issue to get more details, including sample affected pages. After you fix the fundamental issue, click a button to confirm your fix and have Google re-crawl the pages affected by that issue. Google will tell you of the progress of the re-crawl, and will refresh the report as your fixes are approved.

As we begin to experiment with these new components, a few users will be introduced to the new redesign through the coming weeks. And this redesign will give you with new component:

Google has confirmed that they are working on a latest and enhanced redesign of Search Console interface with new components:

  1. More actionable insights
  2. Better help of your authoritative work process
  3. Faster feedback loops amongst you and Google
